Oceanyd allows the collection of information online multimedia, reconstruction and interactive multi-media dissemination. The purpose of this solution is to highlight the sites and promote scuba diving and underwater tourism. Listed on these web sites in 3D, will discover the underwater attractions of coastal and island to promote these destinations in an unprecedented way and with high added value.
These representations can form the basis of scientific modeling, integration and sharing of multimedia data, to organize collective monitoring of ecosystems in the time of underwater sites remarkable, as marine protected areas, artificial reefs or archaeological heritage (shipwrecks, remnants ...).
To achieve this goal, we developed a collaborative online platform which will be arranged on the topography of sites in 3D from the sonar surveys or detailed contour This base will support the community of divers (biologists, archaeologists, clubs , associations of environmental protection ...) to establish a realistic representation of the seabed through the addition and the increment of multimedia information (reviews, photos, videos, sketches, diagrams ...) and a group collaboration .
Once data is collected via the platform, they are imported into the editing software Oceanyd to allow the position and view in the underwater environment reconstructed using computer graphics so realistic. Editing 3D finalized, it is therefore possible to virtually immerse, navigate and view geo-located. Applications thus created guidebooks are truly interactive and multimedia underwater.
